Kuwait’s fashionistas are among the most fashion-forward not just in the Middle East but globally. Beneath all those gorgeous abayas and Kandooras, the outfits reek of chic glamour. The most well-known style ambassador of Kuwait, Sheikh Majed Al Sabah had us thrilled to bits when he announced the opening of a Villa Moda store in Dubai designed by Jaime Hayón. Unfortunately the project has been shelved since then.
However Jaime Hayón has been one busy man having recently completed designing Octium, a high-end concept jewelry shop, located in 360º mall in Kuwait that presents the work of various exclusive jewellery designers from around the globe. The theatrical interiors are a reflection of Hayón’s signature style and most of the features were custom-designed for the project using contrasting finishes like glossy lacquered woods, natural oak, ceramic, and luxurious fabrics.
