jarmund/vigsnaes architecture: triangle house
August 3, 2009
the triangle house by jarmund/vigsnaes architecture is a residence in nesodden, norway with a very angular
design. the home sits on a rocky hillside facing the sea on one side and a pine forest on the other. the home
has 286 square meters of space spread over three floors. strict building guidelines dictated the unusual plan,
but the architects maximized the layout with their design. the exterior is clad in wood boards running in a
patch work layout, framed by large window panes on all sides. inside the architects played with
overlapping spaces suing focus and flow as a theme for their structure. the interior is mosly covered in raw
plywood with a number of built-in bookshelves covering entire walls.
