lindsey adelman: knotty bubbles

new york lighting designer lindsey adelman combines her signature hand blown glass shades with
intricately knotted rope. the new light named knotty bubbles was created with studio creative director
becca satterlee, glass artist michiko sakano and designer kristin barron exclusively for the future perfect.
it will be shown later this month at dwell on design in los angeles. the limited edition piece features a
series of hand blown glass light fixtures that have been rolled in gold and tethered together using a
knotted rope. adelman compares the resulting installation to shipwrecked pirate's treasure or submerged
slow growth.
