'12 gan-ji' watch
korean studio brownbreath in collaboration with japanese watch brand alive tokyo has created
'12 gan-ji' watch. the design is based on the ancient chinese time concept '12 gan-ji', which both
korean and japanese cultures have. '12 gan-ji' is an oriental time concept that divides
a day by 12 terms differing from the '1day = 24hours' concept which we use nowadays.
for example, 子 means 2 hours from 11 to 1. all of the 12 terms are the counterpart of 12 different
animals. chinese characters were modified to sanserif font.
