What is your one favorite element in your small, cool home? My favorite element is the view of the harbor, and the open floor plan. The living spaces flow together and feel large. Also, we built a loft that transforms our king sized bed into a couch by day, and our 4 year old daughter sleeps above. The efficiency of space was necessary to make room for the baby — Yes, four can live in a studio!

What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your small home? Furniture size is very important, and plenty of vertical storage. The biggest challenge is picking up after play time; we constantly organize to fight clutter.
